Day 10 – Hungover

10 days after FUE hair transplant – Aug 23, 2020.

I’m exhausted and hungover after yesterday’s packed event-filled day.

We got home this morning at 1 AM. We ended yesterday with a lot of fun and a little debauchery. It’s a treat during COVID to blow off steam and let loose with great food and great friends.

Progress Update
All this excitement may have been too much for my grafts. At 6 AM, I had to migrate downstairs because I was so uncomfortable, and my donor area was screaming in pain. My head was so sensitive I couldn’t even lay down on a feather pillow. My only option was sitting upright on the couch, once again. I think my husband is beginning to get jealous of the growing relationship forming between me the sofa. From my perspective, the couch and I are spending too much time together. I hope this doesn’t turn into an adversarial relationship.

The scabs are starting to dry out and fall off. I’ve been reluctant to touch the scabs because of my fear of watching $6.21 per graft fly off my head with every flake. My paranoia is beginning to subside. Emphasis on beginning, I still have a long way to go. Now I am softly rubbing and brushing off any loose skin or scabs. At this stage, the grafts are seated in my head or within a scab. If they are coming off, they are coming off. I need to relinquish my fear as I have no more control over this phase.

However, I still haven’t’ submerged my head under the showerhead and not wearing my CPAP machine.

Current Regimen
