Today I'm emerging from the house for the first time since my hair transplant to attend three events. I'm anxious to see people for the first time, and I'm not sure how I plan to handle this. Progress is positive, and I continue to manage my nervousness about my post-op hair transplant care.
Month: March 2021
Day 8 – I Spent WHAT on my Hair Transplant?
8 days after hair transplant. Today I opened my credit card statement and went into sticker shock when I saw the total cost of my hair transplant. I evaluated different opportunity costs of where I could spend the money. But this is an investment in my personal growth and self-confidence. After the shock, I realized I have crossed the tipping point of pain and finally feel rested for the first time in over a week.
Day 7 – Redrum
7 days after hair transplant. I'm beginning to go crazy. The sleepless nights are mounting. Even with the sleep deprivation, I'm still diligently following my regimen.
Day 6 – Phantom Water Torture
6 days after hair transplant. The sleepless nights and soreness continue. I wish I could affix tiny cameras to monitor the progress. I've begun to troll the Internet, trying to find pictures of how I will look with 2,800 grafts.
Day 5 – It’s a Marathon, Not a Sprint
5 days after hair transplant. Five days after my hair transplant, I'm getting anxious and impatient. I continue to follow my post-op regimen and am healing well. However, I'm uncomfortable, tired, and can't wait to take a real shower.
