My husband attended all the consultations with me. It’s helpful to have someone there that knows you and can be objective.
During my consultation with Matt on July 14 from The Shapiro Medical Group, my husband turned to me and said, “book it.” This was the one. I agreed. We both just knew and never looked back.
What made us like them the best? Their approach to educating the customer. The materials they provide, the depth they go into to help you understand all methods, setting your expectations, and personalizing the conversation to your specific needs.
Their recommendation was 2,000 grafts using FUT and to begin using Finasteride and Rogain. My hair loss is too advanced, and I am not a candidate for light therapy (Laser Cap) and PRP.
I booked 2,000+ grafts using FUE, and they gave me a prescription for 5 mg Finasteride. With 5 mg, I need to cut the pills in 1/4 and take a 1/4 every day. The + meant they would take as many grafts they can safely remove during the session.
The earliest appointment I could secure was January 25-26, 2021 with Dr. David Josephitis. This is much later than I expected. I was hoping for any date in 2020. However, they are a busy clinic, and seeing fewer people ensure their employees and patients’ safety.
I let them know I am in a position that I can re-arrange my schedule and fly out to Minnesota if there are any cancellations. I’m hopeful that I can get in earlier than 2021.
